Our First Annual Easter Basket Scavenger Hunt {April 24, 2011}

It all started with the hope that we would be able to get the boys to eat breakfast before tearing into their Easter baskets. So, we hid them and created a scavenger hunt for them to go on. The first clue was hidden under their breakfast plates. Half was under Jake's plate and half was under Joe's. We were pretty close to not having this scavenger hunt happen until lunchtime with how excruciatingly slow the boys eat. But eventually the first clue was found and put back together.

Off to the cave. It was funny watching them dig through their car bins looking for a garbage truck. Felt bad, so I told them it had to be big enough to hold an envelope. Found it!!! It was handed over to the official envelope opener...ie. Jake.

Off to play some wii!!!

Found the next clue in the car. And they seem pretty happy!!

After looking under all the tables downstairs...the kitchen table was remembered. Upstairs we go.....

Took a while for the boys to look up.

There goes Jake the envelope opener!

And we are headed down the stairs again.....(getting tired).

Guess we forgot to factor in the clean up that was going to have to take place after this scavenger hunt. Joe tore out all the shoes....and found the clue.

Joey insists his dirty laundry is not stinky enough to have to hold your nose....I beg to differ as the one that has to do that laundry!

Clothes start flying everywhere...

This is where Joey asked if they could just look for the baskets without the clues. Jake needs to speed up his envelope opening.

Josh played along too....tried to keep up.

Seems like a pretty straight forward clue...but Josh has a lot of puppies! HA HA.
